Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Studied at the Moscow M.I. Kalinin School of Industrial Art, then graduated from the Higher Pedagogical Department at the same school. Since the mid-1960s, the artist has been creating posters on occupational safety. He created a series of anti-alcohol posters, “For a Healthy Lifestyle.” He worked mainly as a graphic artist in Moscow publishing houses. Anatoly Braz is the author of famous agitational social and political posters: “Your beauty is in your work,” “Let everyone remember that a summer day feeds the year,” “Get rid of the parasite, the bureaucrat from the state apparatus,” “Make sure that the master doesn’t sneak into your construction site to get drunk,” “Be tempered like steel!” (1972), "On the Lenin Course" (1978, together with V.G. Pervov), "No to Neutron Madness!" (1981), "Do Not Allow It!" (1982). He gained worldwide fame thanks to his political posters dedicated to the struggle for peace and against nuclear weapons. Anatoly Braz's political posters were exhibited in Moscow, Warsaw, Bucharest, Havana, Paris, Stockholm and many other countries, and were published in the magazine "Agitator", the newspapers "Izvestia", and "Soviet Culture". Braz composed the slogans for his posters himself. Much later, in the post-perestroika period, Braz continued to work on creating posters, although they were no longer relevant.
