Description
Offered here for your bidding fun is this BIG lot of LITTLE dolls, all small enough to fit in the dolls’ house! There are 16 dolls in total, measuring from roughly 1” to 5 1/2” tall. They are made from a variety of materials, but are mostly all bisque. The first few pictures showcase the entire group, with subsequent photos breaking them into smaller groups for purposes of study. Starting with the largest all bisque dolls, they are bisque reproductions of German antique dolls. The sailor boy is wire jointed while the two girls have elastic stringing. They all have molded and painted clothing of some sort, with the girls having fabric dresses as well. The sailor boy is quite convincing as an antique, but I do believe he is a repro. Next are featured two artisan polymer clay dolls, and three artisan all bisque dolls, 2 of which are just the shoulder heads. Of the clay dolls, one little girl is molded with her bunny rabbit toy. The other is very tiny, yet dressed in detail as a little fairy having a spectacular yarn sausage curl wig. The fairy comes in a little plastic display box. The bisque examples are antique reproductions of German parian type shoulder heads, and one is a German penny toy type doll. The next group of four really run the gamut—from an all bisque wire jointed baby, to an artist’s jointed clay doll reminiscent of a a Polish peg doll, and then a German snowbaby inspired doll, as well as a factory made all bisque toddler in a pink dress. Lastly, there is a group of four TINY dolls of various materials, including cloth, wire, and wood. A couple of these are inspired by the tiny German peg woodens of old. One is a teeny tiny reversible Raggedy Ann and Andy doll of cloth—very cute and charming! The doll in the green dress is so small, yet she even has a fancy yarn wig, with a tiny bow in her hair!! There’s plenty here to please all, and all for one bid!
