This will not work properly with other types of cameras or lenses, so be sure to check your equipment before purchasing . Settings for Use Set the camera body’s "Release without Lens" option to "ON". The shutter will not release if this is not enabled. Menu > Settings (Wrench Icon) > Button/Dial Setting > Release without Lens > Set to "ON" Set the focus mode selector on the front of the camera to M (Manual).
