Description
Valve Index HEADSET ONLY w/ accessories + damaged cable (read below) - No controllers or base stations. Cable is nonfunctional. I have tested the headset with a new one and can confidently deduce that the current one I have for it is not working. 1/10 times it will work, but it might have some issues either way. Flickering display, loss of display, no display, no audio, cracking audio, etc. Headset will be sold with the damaged cable, but I cannot guarantee that the cable will work at all. I've changed the gasket several times and the one on it has only been used a few times. No damage, scratches, or nonfunctional parts on the headset itself. Mic and headphones still work. Display works. All straps are perfectly fine. Audio is good for both microphone and headphones. IPD adjustment works good. Left headphone is a bit loose so it might lose connection. It doesn't fall of the headset so you can just push the earphone in a bit more to reconnect it. There seems to be some sort of sweet spot that it rarely disconnects from. I sometimes don't have to fix it all when I play for 5hrs+. Lens are good, but there is some degradation on them. I clean my lenses with a microfiber cloth and I don't use any solution, however, it has seen some wear and tear. The right eye is a bit blurry, but it isn't too bad. The silicone nose cover is missing from the KIWI gasket I purchased, so there is no soft protection for if it comes in contact with your nose. I personally never feel the headset touch my nose but that might be different for other shapes + sizes. Comes with KIWI Facial ventilation mod. It's the rectangle located on the front of the headset above the cameras. It's about $40 in price. Purchased from Amazon. It just ventilates the face so that it's cooler on your face and helps with overheating. Comes with Apache comfort strap. I think I bought it for $20-50 but I cannot find the receipt. It tries to shift the weight off the face a bit to help with irritation. There is a counterweight that comes with the Apache comfort strap on the back of the headset that can removed at will. No original box or packaging. NO returns. Local pickup available.
